We began this studio with a single, quiet conviction — that the camera, in the right hour, can be an act of attention rather than acquisition.

The most honest photographs
are not made.
They are waited for.

This volume gathers the work we returned to most often this year. Some of it was commissioned. Most of it was made simply because the light asked us to.

Our approach

A method built on patience and proximity.

Most of our work is shot on medium format film, in natural light, with no team. The subject and the studio: that is the entire crew. We believe the best frames arrive when nothing is rushed and everyone in the room can breathe.

We do not chase the perfect light. We arrive early, wait for it, and trust that it knows the way. — Studio philosophy
